About Sabinal River Lodge
Why the Lodge Exists
Sabinal River Lodge is a locally owned lodge on the banks of the Sabinal River in Utopia, Texas. It exists so that families, couples, and small groups have a straightforward, riverside place to stay in a part of the Hill Country that's still quiet and undeveloped — without the impersonal feel of a chain hotel or the guesswork of a short-term rental listing.
The lodge keeps things simple: nightly rates starting at $150 across every room, a fully equipped kitchen in each one, and direct access to the river for guests who want to fish, wade, or just sit by the water.

Who Hosts You
Every guest works directly with the people who own and run the lodge day to day — not a call center or a third-party booking platform.

What Makes This Setting Special
The lodge sits directly on the Sabinal River, with grounds shaped by the water rather than built around it — cypress trees, limestone riverbank, and a slower pace than the more heavily visited stretches of the Hill Country nearby. Guests come for that stillness as much as for any single amenity.

Our Promise
Straightforward Hill Country hospitality: clear rates, honest answers about what the property does and doesn't offer, and direct communication with Kimberly before, during, and after your stay.
A Basecamp for the Hill Country
Utopia sits within reach of well-known Texas Hill Country destinations, including Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Natural Area, and the Frio River towns of Concan and Leakey. Many guests use the lodge as a quiet basecamp between visits to those attractions and the surrounding towns of Bandera and Kerrville.
